UDs on top gear preparations

Dschang,UDs/SIC-01/03/19.  Under the theme “Crusade against inequalities: committing to the new impetus”  the  female staff of the University of Dschang  joined the  world in setting the pace for the 34th edition of the International Women’s day with a week packed of activities. At the level of the University of Dschang a total of 10 preparatory commissions were put in place to ensure a smooth take-off of activities scheduled to kick start on Monday 4th March 2019. The week long activities include; the official launching ceremony, to be presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Roger Tsafack Nanfosso at the University auditorium at 2.00pm. During the stated ceremony, the Vice chancellor will present the official fabric to the female staff among other activities geared at empowering the women such as round table conference. On Tuesday, 5th March 2019, an educative health talk is slated for 12.00 noon on recurrent illnesses presented by the Chief of University Health Center, Dr Kenfack Bruno at the University Auditorium after which the female staff of the University will join their female counterparts of the Menoua Division to partake in the cultural carnival at 2.00pm.  On Wednesday 6th March 2019, there will be a clean-up champagne within the various services of UDs from 7:30 am, while at noon a training session will be carried out on the use of local plants and quick safety measures at home.  A handball and football march will take place and will be crowned by a march pass rehearsal at the Campus A football field. On Thursday 7th March, Gastronomy day, there will be an exhibition of dishes from the ten regions of the country by the female staff of the University at the esplanade of the University Auditorium of Campus A at 12.00 noon. A cultural evening follows suit at 4:00pm with the women of UDs exhibiting their talents in poems, sketches, singing and dancing. This slot has received an innovative prize from the Vice Chancellor, as a dancing competition for the various faculties and central services has been instituted with a jury put in place to determine the winner. The D-day which is the 8th March 2019 UDs will join the division at the Dschang ceremonial ground for the grand parade with all female staff and some male staff of the University at 8:00am and an official launch at 1:00pm at the University Restaurant offered by the Vice-Chancellor of the University. With such a fun filled programme, the entire university community is called upon to join in this ceremonial event to give it the impetus it deserves. /TD
