UDs Signs Partnership Agreement with Nofia S.A. (Nouvelle Financière Africaine)

Dschang, UDs/SIC – 03/12/25.On December 3rd , 2025, the University of Dschang hosted a landmark ceremony at the Fotso Victor Conference Hall of the Rectorate, where a framework agreement was officially signed with Nofia S.A., a renowned microfinance institution. This partnership represents a significant stride toward improving educational, financial and internship opportunities for both students and staff. It establishes a collaborative framework that merges academic and financial expertise while addressing the financial challenges faced by entrepreneurial students.

Nofia S.A., which has been affiliated with the University’s Foundation for over ten years, is reaffirming its commitment through this new convention. Nofia will serve as a platform for the payment of student fees, medical fees, and competitive examination for students enrolled in select programs.

During the signing ceremony attended by top university officials, faculty members, and executives from Nofia S.A., the Rector, Prof. Roger Tsafack Nanfosso, delivered an inspiring address. He emphasized the long-standing relationship between UDs and Nofia, noting that the microfinance institution has been a loyal partner since the inception of the University Foundation (FONDUDs).

“Today, Nofia comes with new perspectives, and we are pleased to reaffirm our readiness to accompany its mission in promoting the university’s entrepreneurial spirit,” he stated. “This partnership is crucial for our students, staff, and future project leaders. We appreciate Nofia’s commitment to supporting students with innovative ideas by helping them finance their projects and providing a platform for tuition payment.”

Speaking on behalf of Nofia S.A., Mr. Bogni Ngueya, Interim Administrator, described the partnership as part of a renaissance phase for the institution. He underscored Nofia’s ambition to integrate itself into the university’s numerous promising initiatives. Mr. Ngueya highlighted the creation of internship opportunities, support for local talent, and support programs as key components of the collaboration.

He also reaffirmed Nofia’s concept of an “enterprising university.” Furthermore, he stressed the importance of improving certificate authentication procedures at UDs and announced that Nofia is currently undergoing a recapitalization process.

“We intend to make the Dschang agency one of the best in Cameroon in the near future,” he stated. He added that Nofia aims to finance 1,000 agricultural entrepreneurs across the country and to actively support university activities that promote excellence and innovation.

This newly signed convention marks an encouraging step forward for the university community. Under the leadership of Prof. Roger Tsafack Nanfosso, many promising initiatives are expected to emerge, further strengthening the university’s entrepreneurial landscape.
