65% Graduate Job Placement Rate lauded
The Institute of Fine Arts (IBA) of the University of Dschang held its 4th Board of Directors meeting on the 12th December 2025 at the Institute’s Administrative Block. The meeting was chaired by the Rector of the University of Dschang, Prof. Roger Tsafack Nanfosso, who also serves as President of the Board of Directors.
An eight-point agenda focusing on the future direction of the Institute was examined. In his welcome address, the Rector commended the Institute for its 15 years of existence and its remarkable achievement of a 65% graduate insertion rate into the job market. He encouraged board members to support the University through realistic and sustainable partnerships aimed at promoting the Institute’s strengths. These partnerships, he noted, should foster the creation of internship programmes, job opportunities, and professional training platforms for students.
Prof. Tsafack Nanfosso also praised Prof. Amadou Monkaree, the newly appointed Director of the Institute, who assumed office several months ago. He urged him to bring his experience and expertise to bear on the management of the Institute, reaffirming the confidence placed in him by the Head of State.
The Board reviewed and approved the minutes of the 3rd Board meeting held on 4 December 2024, as well as reports on the implementation of resolutions and recommendations from the previous session. A summary of IBA–UDs activities for the 2024/2025 academic year was also presented.
In addition, more than eight key strategic projects proposed by statutory members and professionals were discussed, with deliberations centered on concrete measures to further strengthen and project the Institute’s development and visibility
