3^rd Board Session, mapping out resolutions for the way forward

Dschang,UDs.SIC-19/08/21.The International Entrepreneurial group of which the University of Dschang is a shareholder, better known by its French acronym  GIE/SA held its 3^rd ever Board session this 19^th August 2021 at the Chancellery Conference hall in prelude to its General assembly slated for 20^th August 2021.

 Presided over by its Board Chair, Prof Roger Tsafack  Nanfosso,  with an agenda consisting of   an introductory word from the Chairman of the  Board of Directors; reading of the 2019 and 2020 activity reports; 2019 and 2020 annual accounts ;presentation of the statutory auditors’ reports for the 2019 and 2020 financial years; approval of said report and financial statements; other matters and  closing remarks from the chairman of the Board of Directors. Being one of the key innovations put in place by the university when the executive Board of the University of Dschang was restructured, the entrepreneurial group saw his birth due to the spirit of the collective dynamics with the entire university community behind the initiative for a real and long lasting anonymous enterprise.

The Board chair , during his introductory speech highlighted  the Enterprise’s slow start but stressed  on the successes and goals recorded  so far  “The GIE/SA commenced its activities progressively, slowly and with difficulties but with time  has accomplished some of its set goals and has effectively became formal… with a Director General now the Enterprise has evolved in an  admirable manner and has had international resonance, it has become a conglomerate of other enterprises …we hope that our resolutions during this session will help to push forward, the Board chair stated. The Entrepreneurial group of which the University of Dschang is stakeholder will help the institution be autonomous in some of its key projects through investments and there is hope that through its resolutions during the 3^rd session that concrete realizations will be endorsed. The general assembly come 20^th August 2021 will enable a platform for enormous physical, intellectual and financial support which will project the entrepreneurial group as well has project the objectives of the institution. The exchange session with stakeholders and shareholders on the GIE/SA will be a panacea to the way forward./
