Dschang, UDs/SIc-13/04/22. The University Auditorium of Campus A of the University of Dschang served as the host on Wednesday April 13, 2022 for a conference on the theme: “Impact of stress on mental health. »

This conference, which is part of the World Brain Awareness Week, is under the aegis of the Cameroon Association for Neuroscience (CAMANE). It was the perfect opportunity for experts from all domains to review the various issues related to mental health, as evisaged by the choice of the various sub-themes. For Prof. NGOUPAYE TEMKOU Gwladys , a Neurophysiologist and pharmacologist, mental health should no longer be a taboo. The social evolution of human beings is a reflection of our mental health. The lecturer continued her communication by edifying the participants on the relationship between stress, addiction, and memory problems. Prof. NGOUPAYE TEMKOU, underlined the second aspect of her intervention, which consisted in offering participants a panoramic view of international Neuroscience organizations as well as their multiple respective advantages. The conference took place with several activities including workshops, educational games and brain exercises.

At the end of the work, Professor PELAP representing the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences expressed his satisfaction while emphasizing his wish to see the Faculty of Sciences host other meetings of this scope. Professor NGOUPAYE TEMKOU, for her part, thanked the participants for the interest shown in this awareness-raising and knowledge-sharing meeting. She also expressed her gratitude to the various donors who supported this activity and enabled it to be carried out./
