
Academic Excellence Showcased at UD
The University of Dschang (UDs) celebrated academic brilliance during the official Ceremony for the Proclamation of Results for the 2024/2025 Academic Year, held at the H.M. Mathias Djoumessi International Conference Centre. Among the highlights of the day was the public presentation and recognition of the Best PhD Theses from across the university’s specialized schools.
With an impressive cumulative success rate of 78.87%, the university seized the opportunity to highlight excellence through a “Roll of Honour,” celebrating the most outstanding doctoral research work completed during the year.

•Dschang School of Arts and Social Sciences (FLSH & IBA):
🧠 Dr. Kukwah Ezekiel was awarded for his thesis titled:
“The Concept of Republican Government in the Works of Thomas Paine.”
•Dschang School of Economics and Management:
📊 Dr. Meytang Cedric took top honours for his innovative contributions to economic research.
•Dschang School of Sciences and Technology (FS, IUT/FV):
💻 Dr. Mfogo Volviane Saphir stood out with a thesis titled:
“An Online Deep Learning-Based Intrusion Detection System in a Deployed Internet of Things (IoT) for a Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) Infrastructure.”
•Dschang School of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences:
🌿 Dr. Djoukouo Dassi Nadia Hillary impressed with her work on:
“Études de la valorisation par pyrolyse thermique des déchets plastiques agricoles.”
In his closing remarks, Prof. Roger Tsafack Nanfosso, Rector of the University of Dschang, applauded the recipients and encouraged all postgraduate students to pursue research excellence with even greater determination.
The ceremony continued with the award of cash prizes, including the Ndassi Moses Scholarship, the Orange Cameroun Prize, the Commercial Bank of Cameroon Award, the Rector’s Prize, and special recognition for the best projects from the IUT/FV.
This celebration of merit sets a powerful tone for academic ambition at UDs, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to nurturing thought leaders and innovators of tomorrow.
