UDs celebrates in grand style as it installs staff delegates

Dschang, UDs/SIC-01/05/18. The staff of the University of Dschang joined workers around the world to celebrate the 132nd edition of the International Labour Day under the theme: Social dialogue a factor for the promotion of decent work and socio economic development in Cameroon. The over 450 staff of the university listened keenly to the speech of the SDO of Menuoa on the Dschang ceremonial ground who emphasized government’s role in social dialogue in response to social exigencies. The administrative authority in his speech invited all staff to win the confidence of their employers and government through assiduity and obey the laid down working rules.  The march pass session commenced with the elegant display of the staff of the university in their 2018 fabrics of various designs that was massively applauded by the public. Worthy of mention was the award of medals to 8 staff of UDs while the presence of staff from the Nkolbisson antenae, Yaoundé was very vivid during the march pass. At the University Restaurant where the second phase of the ceremony continued the 11 newly elected non-teaching staff delegates were presented and installed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Roger Tsafack Nanfosso. During his installation speech he lauded the staff and the new staff delegates as he encouraged them to work with the spirit of collective dynamism. He expressed pride working with the crop of UDs staff and encouraged all to be duty conscious. This edition of the International day will remain in the minds of the workers of UDs and propel them to follow the dictate of working ethics.
